Compensation: $41,600/year BBD

About the Role

Startwise is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Officer who will provide pivotal support to the Startwise Barbados team in ensuring the efficient running of our operations. Your role will be instrumental in optimizing administrative tasks and contributing to the team meeting our strategic goals. We are looking for a proactive and adaptable team player. Your Responsibilities

Managing reception: Welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. Coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing mail/packages and operating the telecommunications systems.

Administering security: Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

Managing schedules and correspondence: Have oversight of the Startwise Team’s calendars, ensuring an efficient and productive schedule. Handle correspondence, prioritize emails, and ensure seamless communication within and outside the company.

Organizing meetings and events: Coordinate and organize meetings, including preparing agendas, securing logistics, and following up on action items to ensure swift execution of operational strategies.

Coordinating Inventory: Create and update records and databases of vendors and suppliers. Track stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary.

Managing Stakeholders: Engage and interact with Pros and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and enhance their understanding of the Startwise brand.

Supporting Operations: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and proposals, harnessing tools like Google Workspace, Loom and Slack to maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Maintaining discretion and confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality, handling sensitive information with integrity and trustworthiness.
